about

EN:
From the first collaborative release sessions of "Kaoll 04", the group Kaoll & Lanny Gordin was born into a consistent sextet line-up with Lanny and Bruno Moscatiello (Electric Guitars), Dokter Leo (Drums), Yuri Garfunkel (Cross Flute), Tiago Mineiro (Keyboard and Piano), and Carlos Fharia (Bass). This formation performed over 100 concerts throughout Brazil, crowned with the recording of the “Auto-Hipnose” album, released by Baratos Afins in 2010. The record unveiled a real auditory experience where the group’s experimental universe invited the listener towards a deep introspective journey in the dimensions of instrumental music. It portrays the Brazilian guitar genius in a moment of total creative freedom and inspiration, and he adorned the record with subtle melodies and extraordinary improvisation, besides his revered chord progressions that makes him one of the great masters in Harmony. Themes such as “Horizontes”, ” Khan El Khalili” and “Flutuante” revealed the group’s footprint, invoking some implicit influences from the debut release “Kaoll 04”: Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Hermeto Pascoal, and noticeably the impact of an album called “Matança do Porco”, from the group Som Imaginário. It also shows special guest Michel Leme, featured in two great tracks, “Groselha (O Sapato)” composed by Lanny Gordin, and “Música Kármica”, which was composed by Lanny and Michel on the spot.

PT:
